Check out this is a fantastic little documentary with Quentin Blake on Teachers TV. Lovely to have a peek inside another illustrators studio.
He takes us through the story, ideas and illustration techniques behind two of his own books, Clown and The Green Ship.
Clown is told entirely through pictures. Quentin shows us original doodles and storyboards, talking amongst other things about moods of colour and character inspiration.
I am always amazed how easy Quentin makes it look, he is so fast and immediate, something I aspire to!
