Children's Books Ireland and The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators have joined forces this weekend to present a seminar for aspiring and established children's books authors. I will be one of the speakers along with Deirdre Mc Dermott the senior Picture book Editor with Walker Books. It is fully booked I'm looking forward to seeing everyone that day! Details here.

Hi Niamh, I met you last year in Farmleigh and attended the event last Saturday. I made some progress since Farmleigh. Whereas at the time I was still wondering how to get started with the world of picture books, I now have a dummy book nearly ready. I really enjoyed your and Deirdre's presentation. Wish there had been more time for questions as it was very engaging and it took away some of the fear of making contact with publishers. I also wish I had been sitting closer to the front, to give a closer look at your dummy :) Regards and best of luck with your next book. Alessandra
